Accessibility is at the heart of NeuroNest. We know that no two people experience the world in the same way, so we're committed to creating calm spaces where everyone feels safe, included and supported.

This page explains how we aim to make our community and services accessible to as many people as possible.

ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

Date: 09 July 2026

Our commitment

At NeuroNest North Yorkshire, we believe wellbeing should be accessible to every nervous system.

We know that everyone experiences the world different, and we are committed to creating welcoming, inclusive spaces where people feel safe, respected and supported.

Accessibility isn't an afterthought. It's part of everything we do.

We aim to provide

Where possible, we will:

  • Offer clear, straightforward communication.

  • Share information in advance where we can.

  • Create calm, sensory-considerate environments.

  • Welcome the use of sensory aids, fidgets and comfort items.

  • Respect different communication styles.

  • Offer flexibility wherever reasonable.

  • Listen without judgment.

  • Continually learn from our community.

Accessibility adjustments

If there's anything we can do to make your visit or event more comfortable, please let us know when booking or contact us beforehand.

This might include:

  • Sensory considerations

  • Communication preferences

  • Mobility requirements

  • Seating requests

  • Quiet space needs

  • Anything else that would help you feel more comfortable

We can't promise every adjustment will always be possible, but we'll always do our best.

Website accessibility

We are working to make our website as accessible as possible by:

  • Using clear headings

  • Maintaining readable colour contrast

  • Providing logical navigation

  • Improving accessibility as our website grows

If you experience any difficulties using our website, we'd love to hear from you so we can improve it.

Feedback

Accessibility is an ongoing journey, not a finished destination.

If something isn't working well or you have suggestions for how we can improve, we'd genuinely love to hear from you.

Your feedback helps us make NeuroNest a more welcoming place for everyone.
