The Story Behind NeuroNest
A community built on connection, understanding and the belief that life feels lighter when we don't have to do it alone.
Hi, I'm Annie.
I'm a mum, a hair and beauty professional and the founder of NeuroNest. Like many people, my journey into neurodiversity wasn't something I ever expected but it's completely changed the way I see both myself and the world around me.
NeuroNest wasn't created from a business plan.
It grew from years of lived experience, learning and a deep desire to create the kind of community I always wished existed.

My Story
Where It Began
Every journey starts somewhere.
NeuroNest began through my experiences as the mum to my autistic and ADHD son. Watching him navigate a world that wasn't always designed for him showed me how powerful genuine understanding and acceptance can be. It also showed me how lonely life can feel when those things are missing.
My Own Journey
Still discovering myself.
For over four years, I've been waiting for my own autism & ADHD assessments. Throughout my life, I've often felt different, overwhelmed or as though I never quite fitted in. Learning about neurodiversity has helped me understand myself in ways i never expected, and that journey continues to shape both me and NeuroNest.
Why NeuroNest Exists
Creating the community I wished existed.
NeuroNest is built on one simple belief: nobody should have to pretend to be someone they're not just to belong. I want to create spaces where people can connect, explore, recharge and simply be themselves, surrounded by kindness, understanding and community.
Looking to the Future
Alongside my lived experience, I'm also studying neurodiversity coaching because I want NeuroNest to be shaped by both compassion and knowledge.
My goal isn't simply to organise events.
It's to create a community where people feel understood, supported and valued.
This is only the beginning.
My dream is for NeuroNest to grow into a thriving community offering nature walks, creative workshops, wellbeing sessions, family adventures, relaxed social gatherings and one day, a dedicated community space where people of all neurotypes can come together.
Connection. Belonging. Understanding.
Because life feels lighter when we don't
have to do it alone.
With Love, Annie.
